Informative and practical two-day DPP Group Lifestyle Balance™ training workshops are designed to provide attendees with the background, information, and skills necessary to conduct the healthy lifestyle change program in a wide variety of health care and community settings.  

The DPP Group Lifestyle Balance™ program is an approved curriculum for application to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Diabetes Prevention Recognition Program.

Lifestyle coach training workshops are provided by experienced faculty from the original DPP team who have been implementing and evaluating the DPP Group Lifestyle Balance™ program in the community for the past decade.  To date the DPSC faculty have trained more than 2,000 health providers to across the United States and internationally to become Lifestyle Coaches.

Cost: $499 for the two-day workshop

In addition to the training, workshop attendees will receive a bound copy of the complete DPP Group Lifestyle Balance™ Manual of Operations, Fat and Calorie Counter book, pedometer, self-monitoring booklet, DPP Group Lifestyle Balance™ 12 Session DVD  and Post Core Support Physical Activity DVD. Breakfast, lunch, and refreshments on both days are also included.  Please contact the Diabetes Prevention Support Center directly with any dietary requests.

Scholarships

The Diabetes Prevention Support Center (DPSC) is pleased to offer scholarships for health providers who are interested in attending a Group Lifestyle Balance™ Coach training workshop.

• The scholarship award will cover the full cost of the two-day training workshop*
• Application for scholarship is required
• Any health provider with or without previous lifestyle coaching experience and who is affiliated with a non-profit organization may apply

*Travel-related costs are not covered
